At TCU, many students don't realize how big of A difference they can make in local elections. Lots of students don't know they can vote without even leaving campus.
Students are eligible to request a mail-in ballot and vote from your dorm.
On election day, you can go to the Multicultural Center and they'll take you to the polls in Tarrant County if you are registered to vote in Tarrant County.
But here's the problem: not enough students know about these options to participate in their Local and National Elections.
You might think local elections don't matter much to you, but they do! These are the people who decide things that affect our everyday lives, like schools, parks, and roads.
Penny Mallet a local candidate wants to make sure students have a say in these decisions because they impact us directly. So, it's important to know who's running and what they stand for.
If you're a student living outside Tarrant County but want to vote in your local elections, Just go to your county's website online. Look for the form to ask for a mail-in ballot. Fill it in with your details and send it back.
Then, when it's time to vote, your ballot will come to you in the mail. You can vote from your room, no need to wait in line! So, if you can't go to the voting place, don't worry. You can still speak up and be part of the decision-making.
When you vote, Scribble the entire rectangle next to the name of the person you want to choose. Don't make any marks anywhere else on the page.
